WSIB stands for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). The WSIB promotes workplace safety and health and administers the workers compensation system and structure in Ontario. When an employee is injured in a workplace accident and feels he or she cannot return to work, the employee and employer will turn to the WSIB for assistance.

Often a dispute arises between employer and employee as to a workplace safety issue, such as whether or not the accident happened at the workplace, if the employee is fit to return to work, the type of work the worker can resume, etc. As well, the worker often must argue what compensation he or she feels entitlement to in front of the workers compensation board tribunal.

Simply discuss your confidential information with an Ontario paralegal, authorized to practice by the Law Society of Ontario about your WSIB issue. Ask a paralegal about your workplace accident, the safety of your workplace, your workers compensation rights, and other WSIB questions.
